Can I use other applications on my computer during the map update?
Answer:
It is highly recommend that the map update is performed when you do not need to use your computer for several hours; It is also recommend that all applications be shut down or temporarily disabled before the map update is performed to ensure the integrity of the data transfer.
Please turn off all Anti virus software, disconnect Internet connection, disable power saver mode, shut down all applications before performing update, any disruption durning Map update process can corrupt the files for the map software update
Always use AC power supply to power up your GPS unit when updating your GPS unit to ensure no lost of power during map update process.

Do I lose any functionality with this map update?
Answer:
Yes, the option to choose a map color scheme is not available with the new user interface included in this update.
Question:
What happens if I remove the Map Data SD=2 0card from my GPS?
Answer:
If the Map Data SD card is removed, your GPS will revert back to the old map data. Do not remove the SD card while navigating or operating your GPS; this may cause damage to your unit.

I accidentally closed the DOS screen. What do I do now?
Answer:
If you inadvertently close the DOS screen during the update process you must start over and run the update from the beginning.
Question:
After completing the update, is there anything I need to do before using my device?
Answer:
Yes, you must reset your GPS after inserting the SD map card. Perform a hard reset by pressing a paper clip or similar object into the hole marked “Reset". Or, on some units, use the Reset switch on the left side of the unit. Turn the Reset switch off and then on again after a few seconds.

Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc / Auto Nav Direct understand updating software maybe difficult for some customers, and for this reason we offer a map update service for those who do not wish to deal with possibility of map update failure issues.
There has been cases when customer attempted to perform the map update on their own and failed due to numerous reasons during or after the map update which render their GPS system useless.
Some causes can be lost of power to GPS device during update, Internet security popping up or blocking the update, conflict with computer that is used for updating maps, wrong operating system or not following the proper map update procedures when performing map software update etc.
All these conflict can and may cause the GPS unit you are updating to lock up and or fail.
Unit may be required to be sent back to factory for repair if unit fails during update.
Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc / Auto Nav Direct cannot be responsible for any such failure beyond our immediate control and customer understand they must take full responsibility for any such failures should it occur and contact the GPS factory directly for resolution should this type of map update failure occur.
We sell the freshest maps that are currently available, and cannot guarantee when the next new map will be released by manufacturers. If you buy the map, you are responsible for your actions and there is no refunds or returns if new maps is available after you purcahse your map updates.
