I am getting an error that says “No unit detected," how do I connect the Magellan RoadMate to my pc?
Answer:
The way to connect the Magellan RoadMate is to power up the 3000T, 3050T or 6000T first, select OK, then connect to your PC. Open up the Magellan RoadMate POI manager, the program will give you a battery warning. Make sure the battery is charged.

How old are the Magellan RoadMate 3000T, 3050T or 6000T maps on my GPS?

To view the receiver's map version press the receivers menu button, select navigation options, select configuration, scroll down and select Map information. The line labeled “Map GDF Version:" will display the unit map version.

Please check both unit and PC to ensure that the USB cable is connected properly. Please make sure your GPS unit is connected to a reliable external power source, and leave the unit connected to power source for at least 10 minutes prior to beginning the map update process.

If the update stops and the update wizard shows the following on the PC screen:
- The Update Wizard can not find the unit MRM XXX anymore.
- 1. Disconnect the USB cable from your MRM XXX.
- 2. Restart your unit.
- 3. Reconnect the USB cable to your MRM XXX.
Here are the steps you take to correct the problem:
- 1. Disconnect the USB cable from your Magellan RoadMate 3000 / 3050T.
- 2. Restart your Magellan RoadMate by pushing the start button on the unit and holding for 10 seconds, until the unit restarts.
- 3. Connect the USB cable on a different USB Port to your Magellan RoadMate 3000 / 3050T and wait for the screen on the unit to indicate that USB is connected.
- 4. Then click "OK" on the PC screen to continue. This should restart the map update procedure.
