consists of a small, color screen which mounts

Easy-to-understand voice prompts will
alert you to every turn, and give you
enough time to get into the correct turn
lane.
SIMPLE CONTROLS.
You can learn to work PathMaster in minutes
thanks to a series of simple menus which
lead you through the process.
LARGE, EASY-TO-READ
COLOR DISPLAY.
With over 112,000 pixels (234x479) on
its 4" x 4" color LCD screen,
PathMaster presents a clear view of where
you are and where you're going. You tell
the color LCD screen what to display -
either a detailed area map with brightly
lit streets and roads, or large icons
which indicate your next turn. You can
also change the map scale and map orientation.
This
initial screen asks you where you want
to go, and allows you to select that
point in various ways. Your choices
are STREET ADDRESS, INTERSECTION, POINTS
OF INTEREST, FREEWAY ENTRANCE/EXIT and
GUIDANCE HISTORY.
The
POINTS OF INTEREST screen allows you
to specify your destination by means
of a menu which has general categories
such as TOURIST ATTRACTION, SPORTS COMPLEX,
etc. Additionally, you can find any
address (even residential addresses)
by simply following the menu commands
and entering the destination.
You
then decide how you wish to travel -
shortest route, avoiding freeways or
via freeways.
This
is a typical turn-by-turn screen showing
the large, easy-to-read icons which
will signal the direction of each turn
at least two-tenths of a mile in advance.
These icons are supplemented by voice
signals so you never have to take your
eyes off the road.
